▸ How Binaural Beats Work

Two pure sine-wave tones with a small frequency difference are played separately into each ear via stereo headphones. The brain perceives a third "phantom" beat at the difference frequency between the two tones. For example: Left: 195 Hz + Right: 205 Hz = perceived 10 Hz beat.

▸ Stereo Verification

Use the "Verify Stereo" button to confirm correct channel isolation:

• Left ear only: Three high-pitched beeps (1000 Hz)
• Right ear only: Three low-pitched beeps (300 Hz)
• Both ears: Simultaneous confirmation tone

If you hear any beep in both ears, adjust the pan sliders until each tone is isolated to its respective ear.

• Left Pan: -1.0 (hard left)
• Right Pan: +1.0 (hard right)
• Beat Frequency: 0.5–40 Hz (matching target brainwave band)
• Carrier Frequency: 100–400 Hz (optimal for human hearing)
